About Me

I’m Yongxu (Jason) Sun, a first-year PhD student in Information Science at the University of Washington (iSchool), co-advised by Prof. Aylin Caliskan and Prof. Mike Teodorescu.

My research focuses on the societal impacts of artificial intelligence. I develop principled and generalizable approaches to understand how biases emerge, propagate, and can be systematically mitigated across language, image, and video modalities. I seek inspiration from interdisciplinary principles in computer science, social psychology, cognitive science, and potentially more.
